Hi. If I filed an extension and sent in an amount I estimated to be the taxes owed, then upon actually doing the taxes found that I overpaid the initial estimated amount owed, do I have to request the refund or will the IRS automatically send the difference back to me?

My concept has been tested and could bring in tens of millions of dollars at very high margins if it can actually be realized.

I don't have the necessary programming skills to realize it myself, and filling out contact forms with "I have a great idea that could make a lot of money, but you'll have to contact me on non-disclosure to hear about it..." isn't going to do any good.

I just need to be able to get in touch with an actual person at a company... is it as impossible as it seems?

I'd like to go about filing taxes on my own and avoid paying $50-$80 to have some chump at some tax place do it for me. My W2 states that $263.26 is the federal amount withheld and $148.86 is the state amount withheld. I earned near $5k working a part time job, so to my understanding I should recieve the total amount of both federal and state back. I will be filing as an idependent in IL.

Anyways, what's the best way for me to go about filing my federal and state at the lowest cost possible to me? Any good websites or programs I need to know about? All tips will help.

Thanks!

that took $1,000 of your sales check every month to "go back to the business". Would you be upset??

The Facts:

You get paid a salary plus your sales every month
I useally make about $5,000 in sales a month, meaning I see $4,000 of that after they take their 1,000 meaning after taxes it is more like $2,700.
This is a fortune 25 company ( it is actually higher but I dont want to give the company name away )
This was never told to me when I was hired.
There are about 4,000 people in the world that have my job.

I guess I am just upset thinking about how the "bigwigs" of the company are making millions and we definetly need that $12,000 a year more than them I think anyway.

What do you think???? What would you do if you were me? What do you think about the policy? Have you heard of anything like this before from such a big company??
