I've been at my current job for 7 months and my boss is a complete tyrant who makes racial remarks and is very condescending. I'm not sure if I can take it anymore but at the same time I'm scared if I quit this job....it will be hard to find another one. Any advice?

You should actively look for another job and going for interviews at the moment. However, if you are financially stable without a job, then you can consider quitting your job and start a new job fresh! There's no point jumping into jobs after jobs and you wouldn't excel in your new job. But at the same time, you must make sure you are actively sending resumes!
Given your circumstances, I think you should quit. Why should you take such nonsense? Good employers would only look at real performance, instead of why you leave your last job without another job. Good luck!

Well, there are two things to consider about jobs before quitting.
if the job pays you well, you might have to be patient about it, but most of the jobs have human resources that will protect you from physically or verbally abuse/bully from work.. if you can do that, you may have to leave eventually depending on ur boss... but you will not be leaving with disgrace..

i recommend you to apply a new job before quitting the current one because it's always good explanation (not excuse) to jump job, not to find new job being from unemployment..

hope that helps.

Find an oppurtunity, give your 2 weeks notice, 7 months at a job means you can clearly hold it without being fired.

I would find another job first, unless you have someone who can support you till you find another one. It might take a little while to find one. Your boss should also be turned in for harrassment.

its not great idea at all, be focused on ur job do ur job with perfection, don't give ur boss any chance to shout at u,if its really impossible to tolerate the boss, then find the way-out by searching another job and then resign ............ don't be quick in taking decision.THINK TWICE BEFORE U LEAP

it may be difficult to work with this jerk, but what i would do is go out and look for another job in the process of working where you are now..if you land another job, tell them that you would like to give at least a 2 weeks notice before you can start.. unless they would like you to start now..if that be the case, then tell them youll start monday and go back to your old job and tell them to kiss your rear..good luck to you and try not to let this guy get you down..

Try to keep looking while you have a job. It will be easier to explain to potential employers. Its easier to find a job when you have one.
