I am shadowing someone who is already in my chosen career. I ask questions but sometimes I am quiet, and doing my observation like I need for my required College classes. But, I feel that I think she thinks that I'm not interested when in fact I really am!
I ask questions but should I be doing so every 5 seconds on everything? How else can I show her I'm interested? Is it okay to be quiet? Do I need to talk about myself? She talks about the profession and about that things that come up and all the logistics and I say Good or that's great! But...how else can I show her that I'm really interested?
Also, In the beginning I smiled alot but I then became normal...is this seen as fake or disingenous? Do you think I just need to relax? I also don't go to lunch with them. I guess because I'm not great at small talk! Help please? Thanks!
(Choppy conversations with pauses in between I suppose is what I mean.)

Just ended a long term relationship and lacking energy, and focus. I have never taken them but am sure they help a lot of people. Paxil or effexor has been recommended, any thoughts or advice? I am tired of feeling bummed out.

I've been working for my city now for 4 years, since August of 2002, but as a temporary worker. Originally when I started working I had 2 years or xxxx amount of hours before I was terminated. Anyways, my boss prevented that and also was able to get me 1 raise in those 4 years. Recently, I've taken and past tests for higher paying permanent positions but because of school I couldn't work for the hours they wanted. Well, now I'm not going to school and I'm wondering if there's a way I can get the city to get my on permanently because if they lose me the whole project the city is working on will slow dramatically... Any insight would be great...

Basically, I haven't worked recently (long story, forced to quit by Big Corp. due to work injuries, no interest in legal issues). Anyhow, I have since recovered (as best as possible in my own way with help & support of family/husband & without doctors, pt, etc.). Now I am ready to get back to work! Here's where I need Help, please. What do I say about why I quit good fast-track corp job so long ago (will worker's comp record come up in background check?) & haven't worked at a "real job" in 6 yrs, other exp. worked part-time & went to school before, also former co-founder of closed company? I want to work at heart & soul non-profit (lower pay ok) arts related orgs (been volunteering off and on for the past few years at similar orgs in other cities two hours away, commuted to finish my BA degree while caring for my uncle who had cancer, he passed away before I graduated). Also, how do I state volunteer experience on resume & especially on application (usually no room for this info)?

I'm filling out my federal return info online and am currently on the Earned Income section. My husband and I made less than 38,000 last year and have two kids ages 1 and 3 and lived in the US for all of 2006 (U.S. military overseas). But, it says we do not have any qualifying dependents for the EIC. We've qualified for the EIC in the past, why not this year?

If we were in a world where there could be only one profession, what do you think it should be? Do you think it should be a doctor to cure illness and keep health alive? What about a construction worker to build shelter and keep people safe? Or a wise religious leader who teaches that one should have faith in God, and that everything will turn out alright when he is in control? Out of all the jobs in the world, what do you think?

Hi
I went to hyundai car dealership to buy a new car and they pulled my credit score to check out how much APR can be given to me.
and he told that any other dealership(Any Brand - Toyota/GM) can also pull the same and my score wont go down for the next 14 days .

Is that true or will my score come down for every pull made by the dealership?

*** I understand that if i pull my score 10 time..it wont bring it down.
