If you are considering using your own cleaning products, you may want to look into natural cleaners instead of chemical filled cleaners such as those you would find in major retail stores. Many of those chemicals are highly toxic. Just read some of the fine print on the labels where they tell you to wear masks and gloves. One even suggests that you wash your clothes immediately after cleaning with the product.

You could use this as a selling point to your potential customers that you clean with safer healthier products.

Check out the EPA Government website at the very least.

For a large home I charge $75.00 to clean & I bring my own supplies. For apartments or smaller homes I charge $55.00. I don't do laundry or dishes. Make that clear to your client b/c those are the 2 most time consuming chores that people never want to do. When I go into a house I start with cleaning fans, windows & doors/ mirrors. Then I do kitchens & bathrooms. Then dust the whole house, vaccum, sweep, mop. If you contact a realty ageny you can often get jobs cleaning empty houses getting them ready to show and I charge $85.00-$100.00 for that b/c you have an empty, needy space.

I don't clean houses, but have my house cleaned.

My housekeeper earns $20/hour in my neck of the country (it probably depends on where you live as well).

If I had a service come in, they charge me $130 for 2 people, 2-3 hours once a month. That's for a 2-story home, 3BR, 2.5 bath.
