OK to use kiddy shorthand for messaging, but knowing the difference between 'there' and 'their', or 'where' and 'were' is kind of a basic requirement for getting a job these days isn't it? How about 'its' and 'it's'? Crikey. How do others feel about the way the language is going?

I have some job interviews coming up soon. I've been out of work since August 2006. The reason was because I developed stomach problems that prevented me from working. I'm currently on treatments and doing much better. As far as my last employer, he ended up letting me go because I couldn't work. In interviews, they ask why did you leave your last job. How should I word it when my last employer let me go because of my medical problems that are now much better with my treatments? I don't want to make my employer look bad or myself. How should I answer this question if it comes up?

Hi,
I am selling a development of 140 homes in the Caribbean to Irish and UK clients thru different agencies.
I am living in the U.S. and would now like to sell directly to our American end clients.Since we are selling a development we aren't building ourselves, do we require a license anyway or are we ok?
Does anybody have any tips where to locate agencies to work with here in the US?
Thanks,Marcus

I just got my debit card in the mail the other day, and I was wondering what the difference was if I ran it as a credit instead of debit when buying stuff. I know when I run it a debit I have to put my pin# in, and for a credit I have to sign the reciet, but whats the real difference?

What else can I do to improve retirement planning considering my employeer doesn't offer anything helpful? They offer profitsharing but if you leave prior to seven years you get nothing. I do plan on leaving within the seven years, already in my second year.

Other Facts:
- No longer contributing to 401k, but contributing the max Roth IRA limit every year, invested in individual stocks returning 10-18%. Maxing Roth for last six years.
- Saving 30% every pay period w/direct dep. to online savings acct to build up liquid emergency funds & siphoning excess to Brokerage acct for investing.
- Contributing approx. 6K/year to Brokerage account invested in no -load index funds returning 8 - 15%. Aggressive growth portfolio.
- Purchased insurance policy to build up cash value and create something for beneficiaries
- Age: 32, good health/non-smoker, renter (housing in area runs over 800k), no dependants, no liabilities

What do you advise in my situation? Thank you for your help.

When you're filling out your W-4 for your paycheck. Is it more beneficial to get more of your money during the year instead of one lump sum in your return.

I have no qualifications at the moment and I would be happy to either gain some qualifications and go in at a higher level job or start at the bottom and work my way up. I am not sure yet what kind of job I would like to do with animals, possibly at a zoo or animal sanctuary? What kind of jobs are there going?

I can't seem to decide what I want to go with my life. I don't mind going to school for a while, I just want to be sure of what I want to do before I kill myself at school. All I know is that I want to make decent money, I don't want to work too many weekends or crazy hours and if I have to move I don't want to have to worry about wondering if I'll find a job.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

When you're filling out an application for a job, the question... "Have you ever been known by another name?" What should you say if you've gotten married and changed your last name to your husband's name?

It seems like that question is refering to names you might have some kind of bad record under. Is that the case or do they mean ANY other names? I'm always confused on how to answer that one.

When my father passed away, we found papers for a stock account with PNB Paribas Bank in Monaco. Our attorney wrote to ask if there was a balance, and no answer. I wrote to the President of the Bank and again no answer. Who can we contact to get a response. Even French lawyers will not respond when we ask for their service. It is five years now and I worry about statute of limitations. A bank as large as BNP Paribas does not respond, including its President. I even wrote to Prince Ranier and had no response. Please give me any advice you can. JC rompompe@yahoo.com

I did not make my estimated tax payments this year. If I don't file a return this year, and make all my payments next year, then file for the past 2 years, will that get me over paying any penalty for this year??? If not, is there any way around not paying a penalty.
