A mortgage is repaid by payments of $1200, principal and interest, every 6 months. Interest is being charged at 10% compounded semi-annually. If the mortgage has 20 years to run, what sum of money will discharge the mortgage, when next payment is due?

Should Ebay only protect its buyers if they use Paypal? Ebay has made this annoucement that this is the only protection you can get now. Is it a good idea when ebay has not done anything to even boost its members security? Or is this just another market ploy for Ebay to convince members that Paypal is really safer then it is?

I got a job, but I might get a better one. I live one and a half hours away from the job I got, and I know exactly where I want to live.

I'm pretty sure it's a one year lease, though. I would like to arrange something that allows me to live there for two months, and then sign a one year lease.

I am also on a typical two month probationary period with the job.

I have really good references and rental history. What are my chances of say paying more money for the first two months? How much more is it iusually If so?

I have a great timeshare unit in Hilton Head, South Carolina. I cannot afford to make the maintenance fees every year in addition to my home mortgage, car payments, feeding/clothing/etc 2 kids, etc.
I want to donate this unit so that I will be free of the maintenance fee and will get the tax-deduction for this donation. Does anyone know what charities accept tax-deductable timeshare donations? I really need to know!
Help! Does anyone know of a charitg that will accept it right away and assume ownership of it? I contacted one charity and they told me that they would try to sell it but the unit would be mine (maintenance fees too!) until they could sell it, "usually within 6 months."
I want to donate it now, get the tax deduction ASAP, no more maintenance fees!!!

Please let me know if you have ANY information about this, ASAP! Thanks!!!

I am reaching a point professionally, where I am not longer satisfied. I would love a change, but am not sure where to go. I have a BA, and will have a Masters soon. I would love to take a career test to gauge my interests to guide me where to go and I am willing to go back to school. Where can I get some guidance to help with my decision?

Is your employer legally required to pay you for accrued vacation time when you leave employment? Are the laws different per state, and can they be looked up somewhere?

I'm at a new job where I work with a team. That team's been together for 12+ years and they did NOT want to hire me (their choice was overriden). They have been hateful from day one, and it is taking a toll on me now.

I have been trying to be social, friendly, etc., for 5 months. They still just stick together, marginalize me and even talk behind my beack (you know how that stuff gets back). They even undermine and belittle my actions and comments in public.

I now despise them so much I pretty much give them the cold shoulder now and stop trying to be friendly. That is pretty immature of me, I think.

Has anyone walked this path? Do you have any insights?

Thank you!!!

I'm supposed to work in an hour, but I live about 30 minutes away from work and there's currently freezing rain coming down. The road conditions are only supposed to worsen, along with floods, downed trees, and power outages. I'm afraid even if I can get to work now, when I get off in 8 hours, I won't be able to get home. Should I call and say I can't come to work, or ask to go home a few hours early, or just suck it up and go until the end of my shift?

I have been babysitting for a family since I was a freshman in high school. I am now a senior in college. The child I work with is autistic and is a teenager now. When I began working for the family, I made $10 an hour. I am still making $10 an hour. The family is very very very well off and I feel as if I am being ripped off. I drive home from college about 20 miles away just to babysit for this family once a week. I know I could easily make more doing the same thing closer to my school and not have to spend as nearly as much on gas. Should I stick with this family until I graduate or should I move on?

Also, I watched the family's dog while they were away on the agreement that they would pay me what they would pay a kennel. When they got back, they said their kennel is only $30 a day (for a large breed dog). I feel as if they don't care to keep me working for them anymore.

OK, i recently got concert tickets, unfortunately the concert is a few weeks from now and starts at 8. I work the late shift, from 1-9. Where i work, they would need to find a replacement for me on that day...and we dont have an on-call staff so it would have to be set up weeks in advance which is why i would feel bad calling in sick the day of the concert. I want to come up with a good excuse as to why i cant make it to work that day, something i can tell my boss a few weeks in advance, some sort of commitment i cant get out of. Any suggestions?
