I have now been unemployed for 4 months.
(Making every effort to obtain new work lots of interviews)

Job centre sent for me last week to review my job finding status
no complaints there.

Have now recieved a letter from employment/pensions department for a home visit to review our claim, should i have any worries?

Only claiming what we are entitled to claim and trying hard to get a new job.

I have a wife and four year old child.

I know that books are; and perhaps cakes too, but there must be other things that are VAT free. So what are they?

PS: I do think it's poor form to charge VAT on women's sanitary products. What do you think?

I gave birth to a son in July 2006 who died shortly after, and have heard that he is still considered a dependant of mine as far as the IRS is concerned. I have tried to research this but have come up with nothing. Anyone know how this is handled? Because without a soc sec #, how can he be claimed? And please do not take this question the wrong way! My husband and I are still greiving the loss of our son Owen. I am just unclear about this.

I have heard interviewers hate it when you don't give specific examples, so how would you answer this question??

Describe a time where you went above and beyond your call of duty to provide excellent customer service.

Please give me a sample answer. THANK YOU!

Benefits have not been increased above annual COLA. Wondering why, since I continue to work and pay FICA and Self-employment taxes.

I work part-time at JD Sports and have been for the previous 2 years. I have had a new manager for 6months who i feel within the previous 2 years does not justly treat his staff. I would like to know ways in which i can know what my rights are as an employee. I understand that my handbook can provide this and i have been provided with websites but i wanted to know which source is the best.
I intend to ring up my head office to personally find out as i and alot of other staff feel wrongly treated.
For example, he has banned all staff from using our staffroom so that we have nowhere to place our personal belongings and he intends to place a cctv camera which im aware should not be allowed.
Any information i would be grateful for. Thanks

There are some deals on line that would get me started with about $100,000 investment.

Are these good businesses to start? What should I be aware of?

I will be doing a sales consulting project for a small HVAC company in the next few weeks but am having trouble figuring out what to chage him.

My job as a consultent with him will be to put together a plan to raise income from service contracts to 120k annualy and train him andhis reps in how to sell these service contracts. He wants me to design NOT implement this plan for him and we have agreed to do this on a project basis not hourly. I will be at his disposal for questions and concerns and advise after he implements the plan as well as retraining him and his reps when needed untill he acheives his goal or for 6 months, which ever comes first. The other condition is that he is entitled to a max of 6 hours per week of my time regarless of the method of time spent, ie. phone, in person, or research and analysis with report.

My question again is what would the correct % to charge him be for gaining him 120k annually with the unlimited potential for future orders be?

Ok so my husband is so depressed. I don't know what to do, Please help.
So my husband is a CNA and has been for almost 3 years. While he's been applying for nursing schools. He has a 3.27GPA but still can't get it. He is so down on himself because he thinks we (my two year old and I) deserve better. He makes $12.29 an hour after 2+ years which is fine with me. But not him!
I don't know what advice to give him. Maybe a different career path? What do you think?
Thanks

So I know PayPal has Payments Pro and Google has an interface that works like a payment gateway. All they require to set up is a shopping cart, and I know there are tons, like OSCommerce, Monster, X-Cart, etc.

But my situation is that I don't sell products, so I don't need a big traditional cart, with 'add to cart' and lots of products.

Instead, I just need to (a) display a page on my site to the client and take CC payment right there and (b) allow them to deposit funds in advance for our services, where they can select the amt to deposit.

I know this could be done with a customized API or something, but it's expensive / complicated to do this. I'd like to use a free shopping cart to do it, but I don't know which ones to use. Does anyone know the easiest way to take payments, syncing the html up with Paypal or Checkout?

Is there a shopping cart that has this sort of manual CC payment setup option? I've been researching forever and would LOVE any advice you can give.

When I grow up I wanna open a bakery, do you think that this is a good idea?

How do I achieve this goal?

All, my friends think that this is a horrible thing to do, that I won't earn a lot of money and that I'll end up broke. My parents says that I should be more serious, and stop day dreaming about opening a bakery and that I should be a doctor or something like that.

Is this a good idea?

I have lived at my place for over a year, i have always paid my rent and never been a problem to my landlord. Today Jan 12 She came to collect my rent and after she got my money she gave me a handwritten letter that said I had 5 days to vacate the premises. Can anyone tell me if she can do that, i just gave her my rent for the month of Jan and she is saying that i have to be gone within 5 days. Can anyone help me on what i need to do, she didnt give me my deposit back or anything, she just said you have 5 days. I know most states give you like 30 days to move. The reason that she evicted me is the police got called to my house. This is the first time this is ever happed, please someone help me.
