I only made like $3000 last yr... rough year...an if i have one child to claim, can anyone direct me to where i might find the total i'd be lookin' to get back on my return? Also, if i was still married the last day of 06, an file a married filin' seperately return what would this average out to?

And if you only made $3,000, you would ultimately not have any income to pay tax on. Like the person before me said, married filing separate does not qualify for EIC.

You can find all the information you need, including the EIC worksheet, on www.irs.gov, then go to forms & publications and look for Form 1040 instructions.

Unfortunately, Married-Filing Separate returns do not qualify for the Earned Income Credit........so how much = $0.00.
