I think you should change the way you are looking at yourself.

You should be proud of the fact that you are going to school to better your education so that you can earn the type of money you deserve.

You should be glad about the fact that you have grandchildren because some women are barren and/or their daughters are and would die to have a child(ren) or grand children.

You should be proud that you have a caring heart and under whatever circumstances may have arrived didn't turn your back on your own flesh and blood and allow your grandchildren to become a part of the foster system, but is growing up with your love and under your protective eye. That you are wise enough to groom them into mature, intellegent adults that make the right decisions in life.

No matter what job you have now, things are going to get better and you are not just wishing on a star or dreaming about a change you have been bold enough to take a humongous step at the age of 40 something to go back to school - you go girl!!!

If a man doesn't like/love you for you, then you don't need him anyway. If he is only looking for someone that is already straight it is a good possibility that he is just looking for someone to take care of him and I am sure that's not what you want to be doing.

I am sure you are a wonderful person. You have already shown that you are courageous, loving and a caring person that likes nice things but is not materialistic.

Be proud of who you are, where you have come from and especially where you are headed. If a man cannot see all those qualities in you than he is not worth YOUR TIME. Change the way you are perceiving yourself. Don't EVER say/feel that you are not good enough. If anything, they are not good enough for you!!! Hold your head up, see yourself already making the money you deserve. Walk like you are worth $1,000,000 because you are and more. People will only treat you the way you allow them to. They will see you how you see yourself. Think classy, walk classy and talk classy. The right man will come your way!!!

Best of luck always Shining Star....

The ones who don't want to know you solely because you may have kids living with you are kids themselves. And why would you want to take care of another child you didn't even have a hand in creating (it was their parents' job to train them).

Not all guys are like that, sooner or later (I do hope sooner, but don't lose hope if it happens to be later) you'll find one who is worth something.
