My almost 3 year old son has a savings account and I want to do something else with that. I don't trust mutual funds as in my scrooge way of thinking, money should grow, not be risked. I get the concept of a CD, but the terms IRA and others confuse me. Can anyone help me figure out a way to invest a little of his savings for his future without having to deal with mutual funds?

I work in a small company as a Manager. One of the girls that works for me wants me out of the company. She has told the owner of the company and my manager that I don't know what I am doing and that she should be in charge. She has been with the company for one year.

I just started and have been with the company for 6 weeks. This girl though constantly pushes her work on me and then documents how I do it incorrectly. She finds two or three mistakes and makes a big issue out of them.

I find her behavior unethical and mean. She is on the brink of being fired though because she is not productive and constantly complains and does not do her work.

I don't know how to deal with someone wanting to get me fired except to ignore them and do my job. She fights with me and says that my mistakes are unacceptable. Both she and I get in trouble.

I think that she is emotionally and mentally unstable and this is affecting her work performance.

for example i went to purchase something yesterday and planned to put it all on my credit card but the place required it to be payed with a money order , but the fees to process it could be payed with credit card..........so when i whipped out the cc they told me i had to pay for the money orders with cash????????????????? y isnt a credit card the same as cash???
