Do you mean buy stuff on-line? I guess it depends on what site you are at. I know some sites, like Columbia House, will send you a bill in the mail that you can then pay by check. If the site requires a credit card, many banks now offer debit cards that are either Visa or MasterCard. They work just like a credit card, but the funds come right out of the bank account they are linked to. Some eBay sellers will accept checks and money orders. If the site accepts payment through PayPal, that is another option. PayPal can be linked to your bank account.

That's a little tougher ... I can think of two ways.

1. Go to your bank where you have a checking or savings account and ask them to issue you a debit card. NOT a credit card ... a debit card is often referred to as a "plastic check". The money immediately comes out of your savings or checking account just like a check and there is no interest like a credit card and generally little or no fees to have the card. The debit card itself has a mastercard or visa logo on it and can be used anywhere that accepts a credit card.

2. Second option: Sign up for a paypal account. You link your paypal account to a savings or checking account and you can pay for items using it. More and more places online are starting to accept paypal, but unfortunately not all, so there is still a chance that a paypal account won't work at many stores. That's why the debit card is probably a better option.

Good Luck.

Do you have a debit card? A checking account? If you have a checking account get a debit card and use it like a credit card with online purchases, otherwise I don't think you will be able to buy anything.

Get a debit card from your bank. As long as it has a credit card logo on it (Visa, Mastercard etc) it can be used for any purchase that takes credit cards
