I have an idea for my own business, a recovery and refreshment center. It is a place where people can come and take classes in personal enrichment and intellectual stimulation, there will be a coffee shop, a stage fore performers on friday and saturday night, or for films to be shown, in back there is a chapel, a nap center and a labyrinthe. perhaps maybe I could rent out offices for counselors. There would either be a membership fee or a drop in fee. do you think it's a feasible plan?

Well I never received any letters or calls from them. However the claimed that they sent me one letter to my old address. I never recieved that letter. Now I am willing to pay the balance, however, I do not want this to show on my credit report at all. It really is not my mistake that they never made an effort to contact me. And its also related to changing my address. The collection agency said that my only option is to pay the bill and they can not remove it from my credit report, they will only show it as paid....what can I do??

I just received a preapproved offer for a platinum card from Direct Merchants Bank. But instead of VISA or MC logo, it has the Discover Network logo. Does this mean it's the same as the Discover card?????

I already have a VISA from Direct Merchants Bank for several years.

But what advantage would "Discover Network" have over MC or Visa???? Under "advantages" is says no liability for unauthorized use and extended warranty and purchase coverage.... that's all. Nothing special at all.

So why should I get this Discover logo instead of MC???? I guess it would've been useful had Costco accepted Discover cards but they switched to American Express.

For a 1099 contractor during 2006, is the business expense calculated from schedule C be counted as "credits" or "itemized deduction"?

I'd like to use the standard dection, because stanadard deduction is higher than itemized deduction. If I do that can I write off business expense as "Credits" on line 9 of Form 1040-ES to reduce my estimated tax?

I'm home in Southern California for a month and want to pick up a job for some loose change. I'm a junior studying computer science at MIT so I'm very qualified to tutor and a quick learner, but I want to do something that I normally wouldn't do.
