Not everyone goes the direction they thought they would in college. Many people change careers 2 or 3 times in their lives.
My point is that maybe you can use Best Buy as an opportunity. Start off selling iPods, move up to a managerial position, then you can be regional manager, and soon enough you're making good pay. Of course, if you have your heart set on working in the field you studied in college, then don't do this. It's just an option to consider, should all else fail.

The college did not help with recruiting? You should still be able to get help from them. Did you join the union? That may help, I know a lot of the jobs in that field are union jobs. Some college graduates make a mistake when they start out. They assume that they can start right in at the top, when that is not the case. Apply for jobs in your field that may not require the degree, gain some on the job training and then go for the upper jobs.

You may consider something to supplement your income while you are working at Best Buy. I know that Network Marketing has a black eye but there are still alot of people making alot of money at it. It would just depend on your drive to succeed and your skill in teaching others to do what you do. If you are driven and have a persuasive personality that motivates people then you may be right for this type of business. I found a company that developed a stem cell enhancement product that is patented and only found in one place, from the distributor. You can check out my 360 and access my website through there, and if you want to ask me any questions email me through that website.

well 1st of all u never even stated ur major so u need to edit ur question. 2nd doesn't the college u attend offer some type of career placement assistance? Also why not try going through agencies to get ur foot in the door... Also working for less until u get working pd experience might not be a bad idea either.
