Not likely, only if you know the owner. You will most likely need a cosigner or some credit. One secret they don't tell you about credit in general is that if you pay it off immediately and have no balance at the end of the month, you gain almost nothing. What you do is, go to the bank, get a small credit card, fill it up, and pay more than the minimum payment, but don't pay the whole thing off at once. No balance means no credit, but they want to see that you are able to handle the payments and not scrimp. Good luck!

I'm sorry to say this but 550 is not a great score:( You usually need a co-signer until you hit 600. If your young they might take that into consideration and give you a break. Afterall it is a rental and your not purchasing something. Either way, you will never know until you try. Fill out the app. and see what they say.
I wish you the best!

It's possible, but they may require a deposit. They usually weigh rental history and income more than credit history for approval. Credit score is used mostly to determine if there will be a deposit.

Chances are good that you will get something but do not be surprised if you are required to put down a sizable down payment to compensate for your FICA score. Your good income will help. Money talks and that is the way of life. Good Luck

do you have a bankruptcy?you may get around the co-signer with 2 month rent in advance, (on top of the move in rent) and a large deposit. having a good reference will help too, if you can. if you want to rent a room, they rarely do credit checks, if your not dealing with a corporation owned complex, just be honest with the landlord. good luck.

They will probably more than happily lease to you if you give a deposit that equals 1 months rent and show proof of income.

Most apartments don't approve you based so much on your credit score. They base it more on your previous rental payment or mortgage payment history.
