I am currently working on my M.B.A., and I would like to leave my corporate position to pursue what I feel is my calling. Positively inspiring people with my story of hard times & sucess, or in short motivational speaking is my niche. I would like to start off working with community colleges. I do not have a clue as to how to market myself, what I should charge, what I should wear, how to receive sponsorship etc. I am not sure on what other things I should consider. I really need some ideas!!! :) Thank You!

Is there anyone who's in this same situation as myself and how have you coped with it? My full-time job shift is from 2am to 10am. My husband works from 2pm to 11pm, so this way we don't have to pay for a babysitter. My business has grown to the point where my friend helps with the administrative tasks but my business hasn't generated enough of an income so I can quit my full-time job.

Because of my previous personal debt, I can't get a business loan from a bank and I've always pay my bills on time. My son goes to school during the afternoons because he's in junior kindergarten and when I pick him up from school, he stays home with me while I'm working at home.

Many times I'm physically exhausted due to lack of sleep and working at my job in the middle of the night. But I don't want to work at my job for the rest of my life, but rather pursue my dream of having a successful business.

Is there anyone in the same boat? Right now, I'm at the end of my rope.

I have a 529 plan set up for her that I contribute to currently. I also have a mutual fund that I started contributing to in 1996 and ended in 2002. I want to move the money in the mutual fund to the 529 because it isn't increasing in value like it used to. Will I have to pay taxes on it when I move it?

home this past semester. Will not claiming him as a dependent mess up any school financing, scholarship packages, etc. (I know it will mess up my refund.) Concerned since co-op put him a year behind in traditional college years and he will be over 21 by graduation.

I work part time at home doing Medical Transcription for the office I work full time in through the day. I want to do transcription full time so that I have more time with my kids and can cut out daycare expense. My mother-in-law has an apartment in Maine. I was wondering if there are any laws in Maine saying how much, or how many times your rent can go up in a year. This will be the third time it has gone up since January '05, for no reason, just because her landlord wants more money.

I feel adding a 3rd BR will make my home more attractive to potential buyers with kids. I could add it on the first floor of my single level home by taking some square footage from my front room and master bedroom but obviously that will decrease the size of both those rooms as well. Need to decide which way to go, if any. Looking for helpful opinions. Thanks
