Hi! I have an interview tomorrow and I need all the tips I can get.

I'm a temp here and I've been working this assignment for almost a year and a half.
The company's gone through an acquisition and during that period there was a freeze on new hires. Now that the freeze is off, the company posted my job publicly. (I assume there are fair-hiring laws that required them to do this!)
Long story short, I have to interview tomorrow for my own job!
As expected, I'm a little nervous about having an interview...

Please let me know a little about the best interview(s) you've had, why it was so great, and any advice you may have.
I just need a little boost from my fellow Yahoo-ers! Thanks!

I have a medical reason, and I want to go to college, so I need the shift I was promissed, but the new guy always gets it, and only on one occassion had a reason to need it. What should I do?

We just put in an offer for a home yesterday morning. It's been 24 hrs. and we haven't heard anything yet. I thought that the first counter-offer wouldn't take so long.

I have been looking for some small investors to grow my 26 year old business reformed as an LLC about a year ago.

Each time I locate someone, they explain that their advisor recommends against investing in small businesses, even one as established as mine. Others contend that the $100K I seek is way too small to deal with.

Seems to me that being able to look an owner in the eye and having some influence is much better than owning 0.00001% of a giant conglomorate and having no control at all.

So, you advisors out there... why do you dislike small local business so much?

I have been working with my old landlord for a long time to get my security deposits back. First they told me they didn't have my address (which I know was a lie I gave it to them in the same place they wanted me to return my keys) and then they said it got lost in the mail probably, and then they said they wanted proof of my cat deposit. So finally I gave them proof of my cat deposit with a scanned photocopy of my receipt of the check. About 2 weeks after that I get $295 out of my $550 of my deposits. So I get a $295 check finally after 6 months of hassling with them. I live in Minnesota, btw.
Now I call them and tell them they were charging me for ridiculous things like cleaning windows and repainting walls, (which I marked unsatisfactory on the sign in because they were dirty with probably smoke build up) Then about 2 weeks ago they said they'd pay be back for the wall painting. I still never received that. What actions should I be taking? Is what they doing, legal

I was able to get my B.A. in History and High School Education by the time I was 19. I was also able to get my masters by the time I was 20. Now I can't find teaching jobs because I am so young. What do you think about this? Would you let your high school student be taught by someone qualified but only a couple years older?
