I've heard that there are good tax breaks if you have a mortage. Do they offset the interest that you'd be paying when you take out a loan? Which is better, cash or loan?

i used to work with Emirates airline as a cabin crew, i moved to the UK to get married now i have the write to work but no body would employ me if i don't have a reference. i know no body in the administration. they just gave me a written reference and thats not enough for UK employers.

My home is only 5 years old. We have had the insurance people to look at it and they all agree that it is a manufacturing error when the shingles were placed on the roof. So now I am paying for a home that could fall in on us at anytime. When my husband removed the vents under the roof we had pieces of the frame work fall out along with pieces of the plywood that is under the roofing paper. What are my options other that fixing it myself?

I owe this particular company (credit cards) and now I am able to finally start to pay the monies that i owe.......i have written to the company the lawyer they retained, and i even sent my first payment that i promised to pay every two weeks.......the retaining lawyer for the company went and filed a summons against me, even after i told them that the firm that was assisting me would be in contact...then the attorney told me that the company does not have to take the payment that i can afford.........Is this legal......

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I work for a really sweet boss, who lends me a hand when I need it. It's a small assembly plant with about 20 people. The job pays well, but offers no insurance, and sometimes it can be a little stressful, due to all the mistakes out back in the warehouse.
I am being offered a job with a nice lawyer as office manager, (same thing I do now) same pay with insurance, it will be just the two of us working at the office. I'm confused, don't know if to stay at my present job or start a new.

We stayed in our condo 3 months past the closing, with an agreement to rent it back until we moved. We rushed out without a thorough cleaning, and the buyer is holding $200 in escrow to cover the cleaning. I'm willing to split the difference...this seems excessive.
