I'm moving from Tampa, FL to Savannah, GA. I want to move there ASAP. I have friends that I can stay with until I get on my feet. But before I move there I want a job. What's the best way to get a job in Georgia when I live in Florida.

I can drive for interviews anytime. I want a clerical job but it doesn't matter. I'm going to finish my degree so I'll be in school full time.

use the net baby, also have some of your friends to get applications for you, or send you applications and send them back to the employer. Thats very good thinking, to go ahead and have a job lined up 4 you when you get there.

Goodluck

I don't think you will have much problem finding work in Savannah.

The city has a big tourism industry and it is always needing people in the service industry. With the up coming holiday season, there will be lots of opportunities in the retail industry as well.

Here is the list of Savannah newspaper and news media http://www.abyznewslinks.com/unitegasv.htm , where you can check for local classifies.

If you are concerned, then drive up to Savannah for a weekend and talk to some business owners. It is about 6 hours each way and might help ease your concerns.

Best wishes.

I would go to some of the convention centers websites and sign up. A lot of time they will hire on the spot or at least interview on the spot.

Monster and Hotjobs are excellent sources. Be prepared to give a date you can start in Savannah as employers may be eager to have someone start right away. Being willing to accept jobs without relocation packages will increase your chances.
