I just left a successful job after 4 years due to stress. I have a college education and now work as a stock clerk in a grocery store. At this point I really have no desire to go back. Have I lost my ambition?

I just started a new job a few weeks ago (serving/bartending) i was given about 40 hours my first week, because i was new and needed the extra training (which is about the typical amount hours an average person works to get by).
then the following week, a girl who quitted came back ( who is more experienced than i am ) and the boss knocked me off the schedule. now i'm only working 10 hours a week.
is that wrong for the boss to do such a thing? i know there's no talking to him out of this..because he pretty much is in charge of the schedule. and i'm already bitter from what he did--wasted my time, energy, and losing me money.
do u think he just wants to give me a reason to quit his place? (possibly because i screwed up alot my first week there from being new) .::sigh::.

Hi - I resigned from my current position one week ago - but after careful consideration I feel a fresh start was not such a good thing!! After 10 years in my current job - I have been told I can only come back if I walk away for two weeks (unpaid) and then re join afresh - which means back to square one - a new contract - less sick less holiday etc etc., does this sound right?

I know that for publicly traded companies, one can do a "stop transfer" against the missing securities which helps to prevent someone from transferring ownership from your name to another's name. But how do I replace the stock certificate of a privately held company ? At present the stocks are not traded even within the company. I just need to replace the certificate, in case the company goes public or gets bought over in which case I can cash out my stock.

I am considering starting an online business that would make money exclusively from online advertising. I am the sole employee and I am located in the US - I have some writers also freelancing in the US.

I wanted to know if I can avoid paying us taxes on my corporate income if I locate my servers offshore and incorporate my business offshore.

I'm selling my home as a FSBO. A prospective buyer calls to make an appointment to see the house. The buyer states that she is also a broker, and although she is looking to buy the house for herself, her company requires her to charge the 3% buyers commission.

Is this a common practice? Is this legal? Is this ethical? Is she trying to essentially get a 3% discount on the purchase?

Recently a news show highlighted 3 companies that out-source call center staff. The employees, or independent contractors, work from home. Alpine Access was one of the companies and the only one that hired you as an employee. They're not hiring in my area. Can anyone help me find the other two, or others if there are more, or the news show page that provides their names and info? Thank you.
