ABSOLUTELY NOT !!

You simply go to the bank, pay them for the amount of the check you want and a small fee of possibly $3 ((depending upon the bank)) and you are all done.

NO, a cashier's check is just like a money order. It is a guaranteed negotiable instrument. You can but one at any bank, by paying the amount for the check plus a fee.

No you do not need a bank account..you can go to a bank to get a cashiers check.

No.

When I'd get cashier checks, all I had to do was pay the bank whatever fee it was, to have the check made, then that was it.

No, go to Regions Bank. They give out official checks to people who don't have a account with them. You just need to show your driver's license.

now days.. probably so.

banks are no longer a service they're a business so i'd be prepared to open an account with a considerable amount of money.

oh and bring those i.d. cards and a utility bill or two... it's a big hassle.
