I am a business major. All of my friends have more liberal-artsy majors. One day, one of my friends quipped, "Gosh, I think all business people are such tools." I got slightly offended since most of my family works in the business world but I said nothing, because frankly, I didn't know what to say. How do you reply to something like that? I mean, to me, the whole concept of being a tool in that sense is a joke considering every kind of profession is run like a business, where networking is key. Bureaucracy is practically universal in almost all professions. What I'm asking is, how should I reply if I don't want to offend?

I am trying to sell a house in Phoenix near downtown it’s a duplex. It was a fixer upper I had put lots of work and money and I am trying to sell it. I have a realtor so I am not trying to sell by myself. The only people who want to buy it are not qualified or have bad credit. I had a buyer who wanted me to pay all his closing fees and $15, 000.00 carryback for 3 years- I thought it was a bad deal for me. Please give me you feedback about carryback and if the prices will go up or stay the same. I had tried to rent it out but tenants want to have a long term and I want to have from month to month. Please give me your feedback.

Hi there,
I have just got mortgage and hopefully will be moving to my first house in couple of months.
While I was applying for mortgage, I used a mortgage broker who didn't know the rules very well. His firts application was declined because I am not Britisih ( I have work permit in UK).Anyway he found another company how agreed to give the mortgage for high interest of course (5.70% for two years fixed and 6.74% for the term)
Now my credit report is Fair (Score is 387 points at Equifax). But I am planning to get some stuff from DFS or Furniture Village with 3 year interest free credit. Do you think this credit scorte will cause any problem with these companies? I don't want to be embarrassed in front of the salesman if they refuse my application :)
Thanks in advance.

I just got hired at a laundry. The boss comes in one day and says he needs some help at home. His wife, he explains, has a dream about a towel flying over her head, that makes her desirous sexually. His plan is that while he does his wife, I'm waving a towel over the two of them, so she can get off. Whatever - his wife was hot, so I'm cool with it. So I'm waving this towel, and they're going at it, but she's non-responsive. My boss gets off his wife and takes the towel, and says "I'll show you how to do it," and motions I should take his place. In his wife. So he's waving the towel, and she's like a wildcat, screaming and clawing, and kicking. It was like the gold medal round in the mattress Olympics. I'm laying there trying to catch my breath and he gets right in my face and is all "THAT'S how to wave a towel, dumbass!" I was so embarassed, I left right then.

Am I gonna' get canned from the laundry for not knowing how to wave a towel properly?

My mother was going to move into these buildings and paid the scurity deposit, but then she changed her mind before the lease was drawn up. The deposit was not refunded, and she was told she would not get it back. The only document she ever signed was the application. Are they not supposed to refund that back to her?

I have a loan check made out to me and my mother since she cosigned for me. She does not live in the same place as me so I was told to have her notarize a letter authorizing me to deposit it. I did that, but the bank is still refusing to allow me to deposit it stating she has to be there physically to verify her signature. I cannot open a joint account with her b/c she is on Primary Payment. Has anyone had a similar problem? Is there anyway to deposit/cash this check?
