I am 43 and have a full time job in manufacturing and would love to change careers and become involved in advertising. I have to many responsibilities to just quit my job without something else lined up. My dream would be to in advertising, anyone have an idea as to how I could break into the profession?

If you live anywhere in AB or BC it should be no problem. I went in and covered for a front desk person at a newspaper and the next day I was head of Graphics Design. ... Believe in yourself and you can make it work

You need to go to college and get at least a Bachelor's degree. Try one of those online Universities like University of Pheonix online. You can get financial aid and do it all in your spare time.

You could try volunteering your time and services first to get a foot in the door.
