I got in a fender bender (my fault) last week and the person I hit ended up sumbitting a claim to my insurance. Now that this accident has been reported and a claim has been submitted, will it hurt if I also put in a claim? The damage is about $750 and my deductible is $500 so I could just pay for it, but if it won't hurt my insurance payments I want to claim it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Ok i woke up this morning and little to my dismay my car is gone. To make a long story short i called around and the cops told me it had been towed. Called the towing company and they told me it did'nt have a parking permit. What????? I've lived in these apts. for 11 and half months(my lease is up in 2 weeks) and have never had, or heard anything about needing to have a parking permit. So i called the apartment manager and she told me that they sent 2 letters out stating that we would need parking permits. Wth!!!! I never got one!! Now like a month ago i did call the city and make complaints on the apts, i also had to file a complaint with upper management on this same manager for other reasons. Since she's taken me to court 2 times trying to evict me . Both got dismissed. The last time she didnt even show up to court. We keep asking her for a layout of what we owe her. Because we know we were late once on our rent....cont.

I currently own my own home, but recently inherited property and I have the opportunity to sell my current home and use the equity to put a house on the new property.
Within this opportunity I have two options. I can use all of the equity from the sale of my current house to build a new house on the property, which means I will have no mortgage payment (but I may not have the space I need for my family) or I can build the house of my dreams but I will end up financing a small balance. Either of these options would be very beneficial to my current expense and debt problems.
Here are the catches: The property I inherited is in a much lower income community than me and my family are used to (I am concerned about raising my kids there). The property has been in my family for quite some time and my family would not appreciate it if later down the road I decide to sell it (so what ever decision I make will be permanent).
What would you do and why? And additional suggestions are welcome.

It costs $2.43 per week for 24 years. I live with my boyfriend and he has bad credit. If I died he wouldn't get approved for a mortgage, so he would be forced to sell the house.

An old boss offered an amazing job to me, but involves 1w/month of travel, and I have two small kids (4yo and 1.5yo) and can't be MIA that much. Would you try to negotiate? Just say no & continue job hunting? ideas? It would be a consutling engineering job with clients in other states/provinces.

I'm sick of my job. I never take a day off, I work a lot more than everyone else here, and my boss doesn't appreciate it. Last year, I didn't use my vacation days at all, so the girl from human resources wrote me an e-mail remindng me I have my 2 week vacaction. I want to quit my job, should I take the 2 week vacation, and then come back and tell them I quit?

I know I want to start this business, but I have absolutely no money. I was thinking of just starting with my name, and not yet registrating with the county until I had made some money to cover the cost of the name and taxes and insurance. I should be "legal" within three to six months. Is this okay to do or will I be reprimanded? Will I have to pay back taxes for the company? It is a consultation/service company dealing in Real Estate.

I sent about 15 resumes on Monday and so far, I only got one call back. I had my interview with them yesterday and I think it went well. They told me they'll call me back next week. As for the other companies, should I wait a few more days for them to call me or should I just accept the job offer from the company that interviewed me. How long does it usually take for companies to call their applicants for interviews?

this is in the state of NY and the reason i would refuse to travel is all expenses must be paid out of pocket. We are reimbursed but the reimbursment takes several week if not more than a month. In the mean time i incure the interest charges on my credit card. our expenses include several days at a hotel, car rental, air fare, food, etc... so we are no talking about a couple hundered dollars but several thousand.

My job is down sizing and some people have quit. I feel they may ask me to fill in those positions where they are short but it is not something I'm interested in doing. I don't want to work in a different department. I would like to know if I don't except this new position will I be able to file unemployment because I'm sure they will offer it to me and then tell me if I don't take it my services are no longer needed at the job.
