Ok i woke up this morning and little to my dismay my car is gone. To make a long story short i called around and the cops told me it had been towed. Called the towing company and they told me it did'nt have a parking permit. What????? I've lived in these apts. for 11 and half months(my lease is up in 2 weeks) and have never had, or heard anything about needing to have a parking permit. So i called the apartment manager and she told me that they sent 2 letters out stating that we would need parking permits. Wth!!!! I never got one!! Now like a month ago i did call the city and make complaints on the apts, i also had to file a complaint with upper management on this same manager for other reasons. Since she's taken me to court 2 times trying to evict me . Both got dismissed. The last time she didnt even show up to court. We keep asking her for a layout of what we owe her. Because we know we were late once on our rent....cont.

But she refuses and keeps saying she put it on our door , well im a stay at home Mom and i would have gotten it. So then what do we get another eviction notice.. So yesterday my Husband sent her a cert. letter requesting a layout of all the charges she says we owe so that we can take care of it. Anyhow my point is i think she purposely skipped my door on the "parking permit" notices so that my car would get towed. The towing company wants 265 bucks to get the car and then tonite they will charge an additional 50 bucks then every other day is 21. 00. I promise i did not get a notice. I think it would have been easier to get the parking permit than to get my car towed. Anyhow can you please help me please. PLease Don't send me to the office i refuse last time she scared my baby by eraising her voice and screaming. Okay thanks

We have tried to work out everything with her. Thats why we keep calling her for the past month trying to find out wheat exactly we owe her but she doesnt respond she just keeps filing evictions. Its as if she wants us to have an eviction on our record. The last time before we went to court we called for 5 days asking for a print out of what we owed because we were going to take care of it, she never responded 2 days later we go to court she doesnt show up. Case gets dismissed. Then 2 weeks after court we get another eviction notice, same thing What do we owe you lady??? No response!! She just wants us to have an eviction on our record. The reason we havent left yet is because we are afraid she will try to do something to ruin our credit, or say we broke the lease or something. But we are leaving this week.

You did not handle the situation with her correctly. You do not keep calling people who do not respond. You send certified letters to create a paper trail of the situation. Once somebody realizes there is going to be an official record of their actions and responses, they cut the bull really quickly. You allowed it to go on and on and on.

If you were late "once" on your rent, then it should be pretty simple to figure out what you owe as a late fee. Did you try looking at your lease? It should be listed there.

Didn't you notice that everyone else had parking permits or stickers? I'm sure she skipped you intentionally too, but you have no way of proving it. So ... you make them prove she DID serve you in small claims court.

I would file in small claims for the cost of recovery of your vehicle. They are a corporation and will be unable to defend this themselves. They must have a lawyer represent them. The lawyer will cost more than your claim, so they are likely to settle with you.

you're one hundred% good, yet have you ever had your vehicle towed? In ny the tow truck drivers carry guns and knives because people get loopy even as there automobiles are towed. I also imagine that the prices are way out of line, first you get a fee ticket, then a tow cost, then an impound fee, it truly is genuine extreme, then if the vehicle is broken in the time of towing, or on the backyard the owner of the vehicle is responsible, the punishment does not in good condition the crime. certain automobiles illegally parked should be towed, even if the fee ought to purely be like $50.00- $seventy 5.00 not $500 or more beneficial.

You definately have a problem with this manager, you are going to have to work out some kind of settelment, and you are going to have to move someday.and the manager of this place you live at is going to reflect on your getting a nother apt some where.about your car I would pay the fine and get the permit to park. Some people are hard to deal with but you still have too.

I don't see why, at this point, you didn't find a different place to live if the landlord is acting in this fashion. Already been to court twice? And both were dismissed. This obviously isn't a person whose property you want to be using. It would be easier to just get out of there. Court will cost more than moving.

Sounds to me like she purposely missed your apartment on those permit issues.

I would deduct the money it takes to get your car back from what you owe her - talk a lawyer. They have free consults and you can decide what to do next.

She probably did skip you, but there isn't much you can do, leave the apartment complex and find a new one.
