I have sooo much technology at my disposal and want to make money with it. I can design web pages and know all these programs and would like to know if anyone ever hires this way. Do you know of a company who does? Thanks.

I worked for the Bank of Scotland (HBOS)for 12 years from 1984-1996. I now have a new employer who will increase my salary because of my past working experience. When I contacted the Bank they said that they do now keep records prior to 1996. How can I get them to acknowledge my 12 years service?

This is a bit of a follow up to an earlier question.

I understand how EPS is calculated. But I still don't udnerstand exactly what it tells me about a company.

Say Company A and B both have $10M in net earning.
Company A has 5M outstanding shares (EPS of $2)
Company B has 10M outstanding shares (EPS of $1)

What is the importance of the number of outstanding shares? Both companies had the same net earnings-so why does it matter how many shares of stock they have outstanding?

Finally, how does this effect the stocks price? Is it simply because when this number is released that people arrive at an opinion of the company, which leads to the prices going up or down? Or is the actual price of a company partially dependent on the EPS?

I'm trying to be as clear as I can with my question, if any clarity is needed, I will leave it as a follow up.

Thanks again.

I've been @ this new company for 2 years now. They hired this plant manager who is only 25 and had no experience running water never mind a whole plant. He hired another guy to run the service dept who is 19 and also has no experience. The new guy is the most unorganized person I have ever met, he has paper all over his desk, and floor, etc. I have tried to help him but he refuses, he wants to do it all himself, my problem is that he gets frustruated so he goes over my head and calls the higher ups to get him the info he needs when I am capable of getting it for him, then he goes to the plant manager to complain about the stuff that he could have just asked me to check out for him, then my boss comes over to ask me, already frustrated and yells, I think that it could have all been avoided by just asking me 1st. They both yell and complain about everything all day long every day. My boss talks about EVERYONE behind thier backs even me & the service guy. I get good $ but is it worth it?

Due to limited space on my resume, I need to make a choice of what to include. In my work experience, I have one internship, related to my career, and a few other unrelated jobs. I have the choice to list all my past unrelated jobs or list a few which will include one or two bullet points describing these positions. So, is it better to list all my unrelated jobs with no description or a few of them with a few descriptions?

I'm starting an S-Corp to consolidate my engineering consulting and (recently) real-estate investing (leasing) activities. The trouble is the activities are so different it is hard to make one name that addresses both.

Which names do you like best? Other suggestions?

1) SwordQuest Services, Inc.
2) Cry Havoc, Inc.
3) We Conquer Corporation
4) Happy Daggers, Inc. (Also, Smiling Daggers, Inc.)

Embarassing start right? You can tell I like obscure references, but it seems like I need to have the word "services," which seems bland. Ideas?

2 questions:
1 - In an effort to better plan for my family's future, is it acceptable to ask my parents now, before they die, how much I can expect?
2- I think it's a lot. Would it be acceptable to ask for an "advance" in my inheritance?

Where can I find detailed Dow Jones statistics?
The kind of statistics I wish to find (or be able to reproduce based on other data), for example, is per-hour DJ status over the past year, or, how many of the times that the DJ started going down, it actually ended up, etc.
