Looking for monthly offices space for a company of 3-6 employees in Manhattan. I heard of some monthly shared space near Flatiron which had offices for about $500 a month. Does anyone know what company this is or another that offers shared cubicle styled office space.

I just went to a job interview with six different people, one after another. They said they're still interviewing other people. When is the best time to send out the follow-up/thank you letter? by eamil or snail mail? Also, do I send to everyone who interviewed me? Thanks.

Before you answer that question, please hear my story. I grew up without a father and my mom is a crack addict. I have never had any since of bonding or love from my mother. I have been kicked out of homes, homeless and had to live in shelters. Growing up I had no one to look up to. However I was always told to go to school and get an education. Well I stayed out of trouble, didn't sell drugs, haven't commited any crimes and lived with a crack addicted mother. I took everyones advice and attended college and graduated. Now I despise all the people who told me to go to school and get an education. For what? To be frown upon when you go on interviews? To be unemployed even though you have a degree and took the advice of these people. Why has my life been filled with so much turmoil? I thought I was doing the right thing by staying off the corner and out of trouble and what do I get in return? Nothing not even an interview. You know sometimes I feel like the world is against me. Help!!!!!

I am currently a Math Major at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and I was recently researching what it is exactly I would like to do when I graduate and I came accross the position of finanacial analyst.
What things should I start doing my last few quarters at Cal Poly in order to make a move into that profession? Are there some classes I can take that would give me a jump up? I know I want my career to be in finance so do you have any sggestions? Are there any licenses that you think would be useful on my resume such as the series 65 (investment analysis)? How does a recent graduate start to move towards this career? Who would hire me? Where should I look? I am currently doing an internship with the accounting department of a corporation, but what else can I do to help employers want me?

I have never used my debit card / atm card for a purchase. I only use it to access my bank account. I find out today, that about a week ago my debit card was used to purchase three tanks of gas in an area in my county that I am never near. How could someone have gotten my debit card number? Isn't a pin needed to use it?

I recently got an apartment and had to provide my bank account number to the brokers (one of whom was Remax). Could they have somehow accessed my account?

I work in a job where I manage hourly employees. Corporate says I am not allowed to elaborate on why the employee is fired in fear of a lawsuit. How are people going to improve if they never learn what they did wrong? I am hoping that people take a moment to reflect on what we went over when they were repremanded prior to termination, but is it more likely that they just see me as a jerk and there is nothing wrong with their performance.

My wife and I are about to be through with all of our credit card and similar debt. We have a new mortgage, 2 years left on a car payment and some small student loans. We currently contribute to our companies 401K so that we can get the max match out of the company.

As of right now, we want to start with about $100/week towards our fututure. What are some of the more practical ways to start investing/saving?

I don't know if I have the risk tollerance to jump into the stock market. Should I go with a Roth IRA? If so, should I let a company manage the funds or would I be better of doing it myself?

Thanks,

Last year I got a tax return jointly, my husband (we are separated for over a year now) always had me sign stuff to deposit it cause he was an over the road truck driver. We weren't getting along but still living together...I can't remember if I signed his name or just deposited it writing "for deposit only." I did not "cash" the check, I deposited into my joint account with him. Did I do anything illegal? He says he will call the IRS and get me in trouble now...can he?
