I am starting a new job on the 21st. I will be paid biweekly. Normally, on a weekly paycheck, there is a one week holding period. So, you are always getting paid one week after you worked. With a biweekly paycheck, does this mean I won't get paid for a month?

I am a 20-yr old student, halfway through college. When I began college, I recieved all of those "college" credit card offers mailed to my house. I made the mistake of not cutting up the cards and just threw them away and now someone in my family has used the cards to rack up between $15,000-$20,000 of debt in my name. I do not wish to press charges on them since they are in my family, and my creditors have told me that is the only way I can claim "fraud" on the accounts.

Now I have 4 credit cards in my name that are 6 months or more overdue in payments and I only work part-time at a daycare since I am in school. My parents/relatives will not loan me the money, nor can I drop out of school to work full-time. Creditors are calling me day and night and I just do not have the money to pay off this huge debt. What is my best option? Credit counseling? Debt Management? Bancruptcy? I know there is no "ideal" option but what can I do that would cause the least harm to my credit & future?

I strip, wax, and buff hard tile floors part-time for a little extra money to pay bills. I see some floor specialists spraying wax on the floor while they buff it, but others advise against it, but I have never been given a clear reason(s) why not to. Could someone who knows about hard tile floors tell me if it is or is not a good idea to spray wax on a floor while buffing it and why?

At the recommendation of a friend, I contacted her former boss who works at a company that I very much want to join. We spoke on the phone for a little while, and then she said that "If X recommended you, I'll put you at the top of the list for any new opening."

But she said she didn't expect anything until the fall (this was June). So she told me to check in with her once a month just in case (she emphasized "once"), which I've done, but I've never gotten a response.

I left a voicemail and email in July, since I wasn't sure how she wanted me to contact her, but no response. I just emailed this time (Aug.), but still no reply. I was just hoping for an acknowledgment. Is she getting my messages? Does she remember me?!

Since this is the second time in a row this has happened and this person is a senior manager, maybe she's just busy or there's no news. I don't want to pester her or my friend for info, but it's confusing. Or should I not expect to hear anything till fall? Any thoughts?

I have changed 3 jobs within 1 year mainly due to unreasonable boss....my job is administrative and I can do my work well and I can get along with my colleagues but now my resume seems to indicate a lack of commitment with frequent job changes. I have been out of work for 6 months before I got my current job. However, my current boss always picks on me and I'm afraid to leave my job. Anyone been in my shoes? What should I do?

Most people make transactions by cash at shops eventhough they have credit or debit cards. Making transactions trough credit cards is much more easier compared to cash payments. Then why do people prefer using cash payments at shops?
