I strip, wax, and buff hard tile floors part-time for a little extra money to pay bills. I see some floor specialists spraying wax on the floor while they buff it, but others advise against it, but I have never been given a clear reason(s) why not to. Could someone who knows about hard tile floors tell me if it is or is not a good idea to spray wax on a floor while buffing it and why?

I would not advise spraying wax on the floor, you will have an uneven finnish as well as wax build up. Use a product from jhonson wax called restore-it, you add it to your mop bucket when you mop, then buff it off with a white pad. I have had lots of good luck using it. Hopefully you are using a high speed buffer as well, trust me when I say it makes a world of difference! good luck

If the old wax is removed, along with the accumulated dirt, I see no problem.
To wax over old wax is also waxing over old dirt.
