I've been @ this new company for 2 years now. They hired this plant manager who is only 25 and had no experience running water never mind a whole plant. He hired another guy to run the service dept who is 19 and also has no experience. The new guy is the most unorganized person I have ever met, he has paper all over his desk, and floor, etc. I have tried to help him but he refuses, he wants to do it all himself, my problem is that he gets frustruated so he goes over my head and calls the higher ups to get him the info he needs when I am capable of getting it for him, then he goes to the plant manager to complain about the stuff that he could have just asked me to check out for him, then my boss comes over to ask me, already frustrated and yells, I think that it could have all been avoided by just asking me 1st. They both yell and complain about everything all day long every day. My boss talks about EVERYONE behind thier backs even me & the service guy. I get good $ but is it worth it?

Time to job hunt.
Figure it like this, use the bullsh*t fee equation:
Your salary
minus what you think your job is actually worth
minus an appropriate fee for the amount of bullsh*t you put up with on a daily basis.
If the number you end up with is negative, then put in your notice, it is time to move on!

If you have been there for two years I would go to the company executives and point that out. Put it in plain english. These two nimbrods have no experience at doing their job. That you could probably do a much better job and that you feel like you have been discriminated against because you are a woman. If you want their jobs. But if all you want is to be more useful, then start doing things that you see need done, make yourself noticed. Don't sit back and relish the idea that someone else will get it done. If buddy who has a messy desk, clean it up for him. Make that job yours, find out what has to be done and do it before he puts a request to his boss or any higher up bosses. Make him look bad, and they may offer you his position.

I would start putting everything in writing. These two sound like they deal with things on an emotional and impulsive basis, rather than logically. Sometimes seeing it in black and white will make them stop and think.
For example:
Dear Service Dept Guy,
As I have made clear in the past, I am the go-to person for _____ . It has come to my attention yet again that you went to _____ for this information, who in turn complained to ______ , which resulted in ______ . I cannot provide you with what you need unless you ask, and quite frankly I am sick of being yelled at by third parties who are frustrated because you do not follow proper procedure. It is unfair of you to put me in this position, and I would like to officially ask that you not do this again.

Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careerbuilder are some of the largest job boards, where you can apply for jobs and upload your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can also search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to get hired.

If this guy is as inefficient as you say it will eventually catch up to him and he will be sacked. You cannot run around blaming everyone else for your mistakes forever. You can also start keeping a log of everything that goes on. When the sh*t hit the fan you will have documented proof of what an idiot he is

I would go to the boss and try to talk with him about what's going on. If he doesn't want to listen go to his boss and tell him what you've seen. If nothing is done about it then I would start looking for a new job. No amount of money is worth the stress you sound like you're going through.

My one unbending rule of life is to "Like what you do or do what you like" If you can't find a way to love your current job with all it's warts then you should find one you can love. Just remember that every group of more than two people likely includes at least one jerk. You can change the scenery, but are very likely to see a repeat of what you have now. I prefer to do what I can to make a situation better rather than change.

Everybody was new at their job once. Why not give these guys a chance to figure it out? I would look for the humor in a situation like that. Try to be supportive. If you find that you simply can't tolerate it, polish your resume.

If you are unhappy, and things are not getting any better, then maybe you should start looking for another job where you can be in a better working environment.
