I am planning on emigrating to the US in a few years and want to get a US bank account set up so I can start saving $$'s to pay any of the miscellaneous charges that may occur before I purchase a property.
I'd like to be able to set up a direct debit to it from my UK account
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start with this?
cheers

SInce being laid off I have been looking for work, but havent found anything in my field. But in the meantime I want to buy a flat and let it, as the rental income should take care of the mortgage. Are there any lenders out there who provide this kind of mortgage? Please give sources for your answers where possible.

I'm buying my first new car and I was wondering if anyone knows what a good (and possible) interest rate would be.

I know that it will probably be a little higher because I am a first time buyer and because I'm not using a co-signer.

My credit score is around 640. I'm 21, trying to finance a Toyota Yaris.

Currently they are telling me I'm going to get a 10% interest rate. Is this a good interest rate for me? Think I can get better? What should I be aiming for?

I work at a place where I have to go the whole shift without a break or lunch due to not having enought employees to cover. If I do take a lunch because I have to do to working a certain number of hours, it has to be almost immediately when I get there. For example the other day I worked 12- 10pm and since my coworker was leaving at 2 I was supposed to take my lunch at 1. What sense does that make. I don't need a lunch or break right after I get there. I would think that about 5 would make sense for a lunch as I would not get any breaks. I have had this experience before and it seems that retail employers miss the point of what a break is for, it isn't something to "get out of the way" it is for the benefit of the employee. I don't like the idea of working 1 hour and then taking a lunch and then working 8 hours without any thing.

I mean, I hear all the horror stories about bad bosses but what about the nice bosses? Have you ever had such a nice and caring boss?

wikipedia says its a "genericized brand" or "proprietory eponym" but I'm sure there was a simpler phrase in common usage.

I have been working in high pressure selling, but want to move into a more structured environment. Not getting interviews due to my lack of PA job title although I have all the necessary skills and attributes to do the job, and have experience in the role as part of past jobs. Please contact me via this page if you are interested in interviewing me, or know anyone who needs someone to be their 'Girl Friday' for the right remuneration.

I'm a Home Economics teacher at my local high school. I am male. Most of the people I know, friends and family alike think I'm weird. And they call me a sissy. They tell me that my job should be left to a woman. But I really love my job. I love to cook and sew. And to teach others what I know. So what do you think? Am I weird or a sissy like they say?
I mean I have other interests too. I like to listen to music. I like to rock climb and go for hikes and camp out watch good movies. I just happen to have a job that they think is sissy

They want proof of payment. I would have to order the canceled check, which would cost me money or I would have to send a copy of my bank statement which Idefinitely would not be comfortable doing. Besides, it only gives the number of the check, not who it was sent to. I would like to know what are my obligations to that company and what can I tell them when they call me. Thank You

I was just wondering if there is some kinda of form that ex-employers put into their reference towards new employers.
I have just been offered a new job, and they have told me they will be writting for references from previous employers. I have never had many problems with any employer, however I am currently off work sick due to a knee injury, I am almost recovered however. Will they place this in the reference?, could it possibly affect my offer of employment.
