Federal law states 2 10 minute breaks and a 30 minute unpaid lunch break for each paid 7 hours worked, but only for SOME jobs in SOME industries. Employers are not required to give any breaks at all to people in those OTHER jobs/industries.

verify such as your state authorities's place of work. bypass to the web web site and be conscious in case you'll come across what the regulations are on your state. i'm meant to get an hour for lunch and that i do not. it truly is strongly discouraged. How do you want that? My husband receives so aggravated. My boss takes a 2 hour lunch even as he's right here.

I've been told by an employer that they do not have to give breaks at all. I'm not sure if it's true or not. I'd assume that it is though.
