If you are the interviewer, get a feel for the candidates personality. To be an effective sales person you have to have personality and you have to sell yourself first. The first question I would ask would be: As a sales manager, what would be more important to you, profit (sales) or satisfied customers? Listen to the answer and make your decision. Their answer has to make sense.
If you are the applicant you have to at least have an idea of what the job entails such as: Don't apply for a manager job in the automotive industry if you've never sold cars, or at Saks if you've never work in a retail store or sold anything in your life. If you have the experience, questions such as- what is the average volume sales monthly? Ask about the customer or client base. As an employee, you're going to want to know if people like doing business with this company. Is there repeat business, number of on going accounts, etc. How long have they been in business and get a feel for the kind of environment. Why is there a sales manager position open. Nothing wrong with inquiring, after all you too are interviewing the company as well.

enable them to be conscious of ways inerested you're in buisness. ask questions alongside with... -what's going to i be doing? duties, respinsibilities, ect. -what are my hours? are they set or random? -pay? -what proportion positions are there? will i be waiting to circulate up in this enterprise or stay at one point? -what sort of reward are there? -artwork guy comp? -what to positioned on uniform or superb clothing? informal days? -what to do if client complains? -cost on gadgets, alongside with rooms so on ect. -what's going to my instruction contain? how long? -desktops? and what for? -get to be conscious of the grounds and each thing the hotel/hotel contain? listed under are in hassle-free terms some i ought to circulate on all day... wish this helps and robust success with your interviews?
