my husband and i want to buy a double wide home and land
but
we need to finance one,is it better to finance the land or the home and why?
all help needed

My Best guess is that you should buy the land, that is if you can afford it, and then finance the home itself. It's always a gamble, because some people do that, and then they hit a snag and they are unable to pay off the loan and consequently lose both. I think your best bet is to finance the house. That way the land will be yours and the rest you can pay off as you go along. Check with several banks first before you decide. That way you can get the best rate possible.

If it was me, I would finance the land, it will appreciate in value and you need the land first.
