How do you know when you should file a loss claim on your homeowners policy versus just eating it? Are there any rules of thumb? A friend had his laptop stolen out of my car ($2,800). What will happen to my insurance premium if I file the claim on my homeowner's policy? Not sure what to do....

My broker has sold my entire holding and has encashed money fraudulently. He is a sub broker of a reputed brokerage house. Brokerage house is willing to compensate me to the tune of present value of my portfolio, which is 75% of what it was when sold off by the broker. I would like to know if there are any groups or forum who can help me as there are atleast 10 more people like me in my neighbourhood.

I want to open my cleaning company in VA. runningmy office from my home. this man is a devious asshole that may try to sue me later. I need to write release statement that when he pick up his stuff he will not be able to sue me later. Should I take a picture of the stuff? Please advice. I will allow him to come to pick up his stuff up with a police stand by. But he may still sue me because he has nothing better to do. While I was not home, he allows other to enter the house and they took stuff from me and may have taken stuff that I do not know about

hello, i payed down alot of credit cards this last year. After i payed them down they increased my limits sufficantly
1 card 3500 then to 7000 now 14000
2nd card 5000 then to 7000 now 11000
i carry about 1k on each of them, why the sudden increases?

Hey guys, I had an interview for Desert Sun tanning yesterday. It was a group interview and there were no lie, about 50 girls. I wore a simple black skirt and a blouse...appropriate interview outfit. About 98% of the girls were in Hollister jeans with holes in them. I know they had the "tan salon" girl look, but come on, its an interview. To make a long story short..i did research on the company and shared that, I was the first volunteer in a game we played where we had to "sell" the interviewers something...and they said that i had perfect answers to the questions.

Do you think i got it? I really want this job.

I sighned a 1 yr lease, after 2 mo, i lost my job and told the managment i would be out in 30 days. Also at the same time the courts ruled i pay my back rent or move,i moved.
After i left they went in and remodled the entire apt, which took months.-----Now 5 yrs later, i'm getting sued for the 10 mo, of my lease.------I'm going to court,will i lose??????

I have several credit cards, all of which have substantial balances (totaling about $14,000). I'd like to contact one of those debt management programs to see if I can consolidate my bills and get this crap paid off once and for all, but I don't want to get mixed up in some scam or something that is going to hurt my credit score, which is a relatively good 704 right now). Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with these things? Or a company that you can recommend? I'd greatly appreciate any advice.
