Hey guys, I had an interview for Desert Sun tanning yesterday. It was a group interview and there were no lie, about 50 girls. I wore a simple black skirt and a blouse...appropriate interview outfit. About 98% of the girls were in Hollister jeans with holes in them. I know they had the "tan salon" girl look, but come on, its an interview. To make a long story short..i did research on the company and shared that, I was the first volunteer in a game we played where we had to "sell" the interviewers something...and they said that i had perfect answers to the questions.

Do you think i got it? I really want this job.

Thank you guys for all your encouragement...I think I landed it too. If I didn't it's not the end of the world. Thanks!

You should follow the interview up with an email to one (or all of the hiring managers). If they gave you a business card, you should have their emails. You could also drop something off there to their attention.

Be breif (no more than 5-6 sentances). Just thank them for their time and express your interest in the company and the position. Always phrase things in "what you can do for the company" not "what the company can do for you". Like "I feel I can bring some enthusiasm and sales skill to your organization. And NOT, "This job is perfect for me because the hours fit my schedule".

Be outgoing without being annoying. Show that you are persistant and really care about this job.

Id hire you from the description. Jeans arent appropriate for job interviews. And stepping up to be first was a good choice.

Well, it sure looks like you could be up for it. You were dressed for success, and you did your research homework. That's impressive! You also volunteered first...good move....that shows confidence, courage, and a take charge attitude. You also showed some SMARTS with your answers. Good luck....but hey,...if you don't get it.... don't be too hard on yourself, there's other places,....and you're no dummy.....it sure looks like you've got what it takes to succeed and make it.........AND "YOU" WILL!!!!!
