What do you need it for? If you want title insurance, you can't do it yourself.

A plain search with no insurance runs a few hundred dollars in my area.

Zillow is not a title search.

Try calling one of the gazillion title companies in Rochester and ask what their fee is.

As you zillow around, you'll find Rochester is one of the lowest priced places in the country. That's good if you want to move there (which apparently very few people do), but bad if you want to move out of there. Almost everywhere else costs more.

As others said, Zillow is NOT a title search, it's a valuation.

The search is easy to do yourself, what costs money is Title INSURANCE to guarantee the search was accurate. Without that, you probably will not be able to sell.

Any real estate agent can get a title insurance company to run a title search for free.
