I don't think there is free land. Maybe some toxic testing grounds in Nevada.

I have seen most recently examples of the Homesteaders act in places such as Wyoming, Alaska, and both Dakotas. You may also want to investigate Louisiana.

there use to be [[[home-stead properties]]] available in north dakota-in the mountains....but---you have to be a leagal resident of the united states for an alotted amount of time---
you stake off your claim-check with the land office to make sure you are not claim jumping..if its allright you build a dwelling the first year[with a mailbox]-then you make one major improvement every year for five years...after that you only have to pay taxes!!!pretty cool huh???its a harsh climate in those mountains, but it is beautiful country...

No where. All land is owned by someone, corporation or government
Someone may give you land - but it will definately come with some strings (i.e. requires toxic cleanup)

get your money back from the "consultant" giving you information about relocating to the US!
No free land, legal "relocaters" only, please!
