I've been a member of UPromise for a few years and so far its been a decent program. You earn money without any thought or effort- like you earn money when you buy toilet paper. It takes a long time to earn money though. Its only a few cents at a time, so don't expect to start and accumulate a lot of money in a short amount of time. We don't have kids yet, and we're saving money already obviously. Just make sure you register all your supermarket club cards and credit and debit cards so you can earn money as often as possible.

Do not join Upromise it is not worth it. I had it and quit. It is better to get the money in cash. They force you to buy more expenise items only to give back a small percentage. Not everything is Upromise sponsored at the grocery store, only the overpriced items. It is cheaper to buy at Wal-mart and use another card that gives cold hard cash.

Citi Dividend master card gives up to $300 per year. Combine this with Discover gas card and you're good to go!

Yes, I joined. Doesn't cost anything, and you do get money into your account for purchases of specific items or at specific places. But after several years, I have probably accumulated enough to buy one textbook. But it's free money.
