I am 21 now & my parents recenlty found a savings bond of mine that was issued in 1999 when i had graduated middle school. The savings bond is for 1,000.00 dollars. I am so confused about this savings bond stuff. I am looking to cash the bond and use it towards helping pay off some of my college classes but not sure of the amount I would get for it. If I cash it, will I actually get the 1,000.00 dollars or will it be more than that or less than that? I know the person who gave it to me only paid $500 for it so i was wondering if it is matured enough to actually cash and get the full one thousand that it says on the bond???

please someone help me figure this out, im not too knowledgable when it comes to finanicial stuff.

I appreciate it:)

I constantly listen to adds and recommendations that knowing your credit report score will help you get a better loan or deal, with less interests. Isn't it enough to know that you have bad, ok or excellent credit? Do you actually go to the bank or the car dealer and say something like: "Hey, my credit score is 740, give me a good deal!"

I'm from another country and I'm trying to build my credit history, so any help is welcomed. Thanks!.

I was reading a posting via Craigslist and someone is offering a stake in their company. The said if chosen, the person would get a 25% stake in the company which equates to 25% of the shares. Just curious as to what the answer is.

I own my own company (C-corp), am the sole employee and draw a salary every quarter. I've done well this first six months and was think of taking a bonus. Is salary treated the same as bonus in terms of payroll taxes that must be paid? Is it better to declare a dividend instead?

At my job interview a few days ago, when asked what I would like to do to improve myself, I mistakenly answered I wanted to improve my computer skills to the advanced level. I reiterated that my Microsoft Office Suite skills were intermediate but that I felt there was always room for improvement especially if it would help to get the job done more efficiently and quicker. The interviewer questioned specific applications and in my nervous state I let it be know that my powerpoint knowledge was basic at best but that I was practicing on tutorials to bring me up to par. They seemed unconcerned and said it was very easy to learn and the rest of the interview went well. Afterwards, I heard thru the agency I used that they really liked me but were concerned that my powerpoint skills were lacking. They want to see more people - I was the first person to be interviewed. Did I blow my chance for this job?

Do you think raisng the minimum wage will actually help, or do you think that wholesalers and stock market speculators will just see it as another source of profit by pushing wholesale prices even higher? Example: Over 20% of the cost of fuel comes from stock market speculators buying oil futures, holding them back until the price goes up, than selling. This is done with food and all the necessities important to minimum wage earners.

Because I would like to know because I want to start modeling. I know that modeling industry want tall models because of the designers clothes but I know for a damn fact that short people can model. Its stupid that they want tall models, there are things that short people can do, you dont nned a tall model to pose for beauty, or body-part shots, nude.
