To try to be helpful, I will share how that I make a good income from the net, working at my own pace (part time) and doesn't cost any money to start. I will briefly explain what I do:
(1) Probably the easiest way that I make a little extra income is by doing simple things like surveys, and "reading emails", etc. I make enough to pay my Internet bill and a good chunk of my grocery bill and I only spend about an 1/2 hour a night doing this(2) It takes a little time and effort but if correctly done correctly, having your own website / blog can be a great form of steady income. That is the best thing about the Internet, it is open 24/7 and available worldwide and you can make extra money even when you are off the computer.
.(3) I sell items on a local auction site and on Ebay. The majority of my items comes from garage sales, discount bins at local stores, etc. I sell the larger items locally, less shipping charges etc. and most of my customers will gladly pick up the items. Sometimes I buy items from the local site just to sell on EBay. You can get the same type of information that some people offer for sale just by checking out the Ebay site for free!
Email if you have any questions but please check out these links first

I think it is great you are going to stay home with your baby. Enjoy this time in your lives.
Now...When people say there are few work at home opportunities, hit your delete button.
This nation was built on ideas. Think about it. When oil was just some black ooze in the ground, before Exxon, Phillips, BP and the like, it was just some black ooze in the ground.
Then somebody came up with an idea...turn it into fuel.
What about Henry Ford. Do you think he just got tired or walking and thought, umm, I think I will make a car.
Point being, ideas are everywhere, opportunites are more numerous than the stars.
Now let's change your mindset...
Quit looking for a work at home "job". Start thinking like a business owner and think about a business you can build that will be there when your baby is ready for college. A job is "just over broke".
Sign up for all the newsletters, ezines, forums and such that offer information on subjects you are interested in. They cost nothing and are a good source of information that will help you start your education process.
After a couple of weeks online, reading and soaking up all this new knowledge, you will start to see that little light bulb hanging around, hovering over your head. Reach up and pull the chain, turn it on.
If you approach your needs in this manor with the "I will succeed" mindset, then the "how to" will follow. It will take time, hard work and at some time a monitary investment, but the results will be so much greater.
Think about it.
