Having coffee and eating doughnuts at Tim Horton's has been touted as the all Canadian experience. After all, (implicit in it) you are not really Canadian if you do not patronize a Tim Horton's restaurant or drink their coffee! The reality of it all is that Tim Horton's restaurants are every bit as Canadian as are Dave Thomas' Wendy's pigtails. It is true that Tim Horton's was once a Canadian company, founded by a Canadian hockey player. However, the company was purchased years ago by an American.

The fact that the chain is now American is really not what bothers me. The notion that being American is automatically less virtuous is a bit ludicrous.

The case I have against Tim Horton's restaurants is this, and I wish to lay it out directly: IT SELLS "EXCHANGE" COFFEE. If you do not know what "exchange" coffee is, find out. It is not the same as fair trade coffee. It is just the opposite. "Exchange" here means theft. I do not wish to plant ideas in the wrong persons.

My poor mom, had money zapped out of her account by a debt company that must have bought a debt from a previous company. The amount they claim was 10,00$ all of which was instrest and fees, she formally mailed a letter in response stating she didn't owe this comapny and that this amount was more than 10 years old, she had never heard of this new company (until last year when they sent apay this or else letter) and that they had no right to renew the false debt. They have since tapped all of my mom's bank account and taken 4000$ !!! What can she do to stop them. Appearant when we went on vaction in january they went to the court to ask for payment on the 10,000$ false debt even though they had her response and they know the debt is past collection more than 7 years they are not suppose to be able to renew and collect on old debt. HELP. I dont' want her to just let it go but at the same time if a lawyer costs as much as the debt than it's a double wammy

Wondering if they interviewed..got passed over..and they followed up later and got a job at that company. I find that companies you interviewed in person before are less likely to hire you even if another opening comes up.

She has had 2 previous bank accounts she overdrew one for two hundred the other for about nine hundred, I told her she should still try and open another so she can get direct deposite. I really don't want to open it in my name she may do the same thing and it be on my credit. I've been here a year, and I've always been a good employee. I get along with everyone, I've never had one negative comment said to me about my work, and the level of my work hasn't changed or gone down.
But for some reason these past couple weeks some co-workers have been telling me I'm not doing something correctly or that I could be doing it better, when I'm doing everything right. My boss took away my hour lunch break and made it a half hour, people are randomly making me do work for them that I've never had to do, and all of a sudden my boss won't let me go on myspace. And I'm not one of those myspace junkies either, I just go on once a day for a couple minutes to check email, and she's never cared before. And she lectured me on being 2 minutes late! This is a very relaxed place normally, everyone is always up to a half hour late! What's going on, why are they being so strict with me out of nowhere?

Did u know that 4 every 1dollar that a male makes a female only makes 75 cents? thats doing the SAME EXACT job! so if a man makes 100,000 dollars a yr. a woman only makes 75,000 doing the same job. thats 25,000 $ more than the woman doing the SAME job! Is that fair? Or not? Explain why.
