I am in the process of closing on the building now. I do not have a cosmotology licence, but my business partner does. My part in the business it to provide the capital to fund the business and her responsibility is to manage and run the business. I know I will need an EIN number, a business license. What else will I need to get started?

Everybody hates Wal-Mart soo much, but Target is just as bad. Wal-Mart has better health than Target, comparative wages, etc. So why don't people point some fingers at Target?

Everytime I look in the paper (any any city I travel to) I see so many jobs that are available. Why are people so dang lazy these days? May not be what you want, but it is a job!

Alot of people at my work think there was so much "Good Times" during the Clinton reign, but I believe (politics aside) that our economy is in the "Boom" stage right now. I've never seen the Dow at 11000 and some change. I know the interest rate on home mortages was high then. I would like to know the average on it too.
Thanks

Essentially I HAD 5 credit cards maxed out. Now I am buying a house and I have until July 9th before the last credit score is pulled to buy this house on the 23rd. I have never made late payments, no other issues but the balances being high... I JUST paid them all down to the Numbers below over the last week... I need a 700 or higher to get the loan, I have a 694 middle score... Oh yeah I am a full time student hence the debt:
CC Balance/Limit
CC1 7300/7900
CC2 330/1700
CC3 999/2500
CC4 320/1000
CC5 999/2500

How fast do credit scores go up? After paying over $5,000 on to this debt in the last week, Is ~20 Days enough for my score to go up 6 points???

-Links or Knowlegable people on this would be helpful - Thanks Guys!

My sister is moving to NYC soon. I live in CT and all of my friends in NY live in Manhattan. She's got a list of names of places to look for apartments and I am concerned that she'll live in a bad area just to save a little on rent. Can I have some input on: Astoria, Sunnyside, Long Island City, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Red Hook? Thanks

AT first they tried to get me to take a 80/20 loan which I didn't want to
take...and so I asked about a 100% loan...does anyone know if this is an
okay rate (7.5%)? He said that property values might go up so we might want
to purchase now...what do you think? Washington mutals payments were the
same or higher with aslightly lower interest so I don't quite get it. He
also mentioned at the top no mortgage insurance...what is that? I thought
it was required? Then it said with insurance...is that home owners
insurance?

We are going to look at more houses tommorow. Dan wants to wait a ocuple
months till we get some bills paid off (credit cards), but I am also
concerned about property values going up more, or interest rates to a point
that we cant afford to by a house. Any thoughts?

I have a great idea for a website which I think will make lots of money. I need some investment to employ a couple of people as I don't have all the skills necessary to develop it myself. I am worried that if I go and ask someone then they will steal my idea and go develop it themselves as it is a fairly simple plan. Is there anyway to protect my idea or do I just have to bite the bullet, tell them, and hope they won't steal it. Once I have the employees, I am also worried that I will be no longer needed having come up with the idea - how do you think I should protect myself and my position?

I have about 1000 dollars to invest in but I dont want to put it in a fix rated cd account... because the interest rate is to low for me. I have been taking a look at the Market Rate CDs and this seems like what I am looking for. I am looking for something I can invest 1000 dollars into, that has an average interest rate of 10 percent or higher and is also FDIC insured.
Any suggestions/recommendations?
If you have invested into the Market Rate CDs how much profit did you make?
