I don't have the personality to be one of those lawyers that argue in trial court. I don't mind doing paperwork, but I want to have my own practice. I don't like working for a boss. Are immigration lawyers needed in the next ten years??

Sorry honey, but starting your own practice you will not be making $100,000+ for quite a while. I gather you want to be a lawyer, just not a trial lawyer, from your statement regarding starting a practice. How about real estate or tax law? People are always buying houses and paying their taxes, so there will be a steady flow of business, and you don't have to go to court.

You worked so hard to get that degree, are you discouraged for not passing the BAR test just asking? Then, not all lawyers are trial lawyers. Only the experienced ones get go to trial. Most lawyers work behind a desk and piles of paperwork with a dicta phone attached to their fingers.
Any imaginable area in this world needs a lawyer. Find an area that you like and dip right into it.
Immigration lawyers will always be needed just like backrupcy and divorce lawyers.
