Go to www.annualcreditreport.com and fill out the information. There is no fee, there are no ads, and you can get your report once a year from the three main credit reporting agencies.

You can get 1 free credit report a year from each major reporting agency. Those on-line offers give you all of them at once. What is not usually free is the credit score. But with the free report you have the ability to look at your credit and clean up any incorrect information.

Go to www.freecreditreport.com

Go to annualcreditreport.com for a free credit from any (or all) of the 3 credit bureaus once per year.

This was set up when the law began to require it a couple or three years ago.

Not to be confused with freecreditreport.com which tries to sell you crap.

Good luck.

Make sure to check your state laws. Some state require one free credit report per year, ie. CO., GA., MA etc. If you live in one of the states that mandate one free credit report per year your can go to http:\\www.experian.com/freestate to get your report

You can get it for free by contacting the individual bureaus if you've been denied any credit. The forms are not very clear though. If you get it from anywhere else naturally they are going to charge. They have to get paid somehow, right ?

there is a site that you can go to to get an annual free credit report. You can only do it once a year so my advice is to print out what you find.
