hw much do engineers who work with aeroplanes get a year? or per hour

Not as much as you'd think. I have a friend who works one of the main aircrafts Co. in the US, he is the second from the project manager (boss). His area is in charge of making jet training sims and their software. I was really impressed until he told me how much he made. Raises are only approved by nickle and dimes, e.g. if your boss feels like giving it to you.
His benefits are getting worse, and the department is filling with technitians (ITT,etc) making even less money than him, by the way no overtime paid to engineers because they're on salary. Regular city workers make more than him.

Don't know, but could you live with yourself if a whole plane load of people crashed because you forgot to close a valve?

i bet they get between 40 and 50 grand a year.
