I went to the Dr. and had a ingrown toenail removed. I had to have the same procedure done on the same nail one month later. I was billed for both procedures. I spoke with one of the billing reps from the clinic who told me that they would not charge me for the second nail, since the procedure didn't work. now the clinic is charging me for the second procedure. What can I do about this?

I want to start a company selling funny T-shirts, bumper stickers, etc. and put a little money in the pockets of local comedians. I figured if they submitted something and it sells they would get a little back. Can one make money on these or are they so novelity that it isn't worth starting.

Super Walmart is coming to my town of about 17,000 and I am so afraid that means the end of our KMart and small grocery stores and hardware stores that I love to shop at. I refuse to go there and I will spend more and/or drive out of town to avoid shopping there. When will it end? Is it useless to fight it?? Who's with me?!?

And I'm not talking about million dollar homes on the ocean either. From coast to coast, towns large and small. there is always the neighborhood in every single one of them where people own $250,000+ homes. I am amazed at the number of people that own them. And even if you have all kinds of credit (spending other peoples money as i read in another post) you still have to be able to afford the 2,000+ per month mortgage payment. Seriously who can do that? I am mind boggled by this. I can't believe so many people can afford this, sometimes I feel like knocking on their door and asking "Just what is it you do?" There can't be that many CEO'S and doctors, business owners or similiar. So seriously, what kind of work/income for these people? And if you own such a home tell me what you do!!!!

I've been looking for a office postion in the NJ/NYC area and it seems like nothing has come up lately. I've been looking for a month now, and the only jobs offered are temp jobs. I have nothing against temps, but I need stability. I'm experienced in all office aspects (clerical/data entry/receptionist{my current position}/secretary). You would think with all this experience something would come along but nothing. Anyone have any ideas on how I should go about finding a decent jobs??? I've posted my resume everywhere Monster.com/hotjobs.com/nj.com/craigslist.com. Can someone please help me and give me some advice......I have the skills and experience so what's going on. I refuse to go and work in the mall, when I know I have so much more to offer.

And if so, to who? The management at my complex sucks really bad. No one is ever in the office to answer questions, take rent checks, maintenance is nonexistent, it's ridiculous. I'm supposed to notify them that I'm moving out and not renewing my lease in thirty days and I don't know how I'm supposed to do that when I can't get a hold of anyone. So yeah, what can I do?

We were tennants for 2 years, prior to buying our home. Due to timing, we were going to have to pay rent + mortgage for two months. I wrote a letter giving our 30 days notice 90 days ahead of time. I also asked if there was any way for him to work with us in finding a new tennant. He did not want to work with us, and became quite a jerk, threatening us with abandonment, eviction, etc...all while we were in good standing with the rent. We paid for the month of July, in full and on time. This was to be our final month according to the contract.

Today we received a letter with two checks, from the landlord. One check was for a refund of half of this months rent. The other was for less than half of our deposit ($1050). The deductions listed an "agreed cost-of-reletting and/or accelerated rent" (half of the deposit $525) and a $91 advert. fee. These fees are not mentioned in our contract, and were never brought to our attention. Can he do this? What should we do?

I was paying my bills and by accident put my car payment in my credit card bill and vice versa. As you can imagine the two were greatly different amounts, but even though they had the wrong name on them, they both deposited the funds. Is this even legal? Everyone is telling me there is nothing they can do.
