Whats the best excuse you've ever used to leave early from work or not even show up at all?

I'm thinking about getting line of credit on my home,,which is paid for. I talked to a lending instution,,I would take out approx $25,000 line,,,plan to use about $15,000 for home improvement. Interest would be at about 7%.
Ok,,what problems can come up,,I know this can't be this easy. I realize,,yes I pay it off,,ok,,but what added fees are there? I new to this line of credit thing.

Anyone know of a free website that shows any apartment rentals in southern california? I've seen a couple of sites but they requiere you to sign up and get a membership with them to be able to get the properties info. Please help! THanks!

I originally sent in payments for 2005 tax return on April 15. I noticed I made a mistake and I sent in an amended return. Now state of NJ owes me refund. The payment I made on April 15, can I get that money back now? or is that money that gets credited toward 2006 tax return since it was made in 2006.

He has accrued a large amount of credit card debit. He has a house that probably will not be paid off for another 23 years. He is also getting ready to put 2 kids into college. I want to know how much of this would be my responsiblity if we married and as far as college goes, will my income count for anything on his kids college stuff. If he dies where does it leave me?

I have recently moved to US and i have my MBA from India in finance and marketing....I have anyways joined for my MS prg here in Accoun ting.I workde back home in Investment (finance) area,but due to some personal problem i have to take up and accounting field once i came here....
What i need to know, is it possible to get a part time job with my MBA ...or do i have to wait for my MS to finish...i want a job which is oriented with my area of study ....so that i can have some job experiance here...

This fall, I am going to be bringing home an extra $180-200 per month. I don't forsee any changes in my spending habits. What should I do with it? Should I put some extra on my mortgage (6.5% rate)? Should I put it in savings (4.35% yield)? I know all about the tax issues, etc. I just want to know what makes the most sense to you.

There have been many instances when one of the hispanic workers did not show up for work and he would reason with them, one of the other employees have done that and they were fired.
I used to do on-call work for the company without being paid. One of the hispanic workers is doing on-call and he offered to pay her for it. I see a lot of double-standards being set for the hispanic in the company and I do not like it. I want to know if is there anything, legally, that I could do?
