I am currently renting a room but my roomates are load and obnoxious. Financially I can offord and apartment, but it will be a struggle. I have debts to pay (Ex. Student Loans, Credit Cards). A room is good for me, but I am sick and tired of living with other people. What do you think I should do?

I have a credit card that I just cannot seem to pay off. I've been trying to pay it off for years now and then I seem to spend on it. It's gotten to the point where if I don't close it, I'll never pay it off. Recently I've gone over the limit twice and I want to close it so they don't raise the APR or charge me fees.
I know it's bad to close an account before paying it off...I know that it affects your credit score. Other than my credit rating, what's the worst that could happen? Can they jack up the APR if I close it with a balance?
Thanks!

Ok We are renting a trailer here, Now, we took this place because we really needed it, as at the time we were homeless. Everyone wanted 1st, last month and deposit but we live paycheck to paycheck and this guy said that he would skip the deposit if we agreed to pay by the week and pay 'a little extra'. WITH the deposit, our rent would have been $700 a month but without it is $225 a week (add that up... 900 a month, for a freakin trailer lol) and my husband only makes like $300 a week! It is KILLING US we can't afford it, we HAVE to move! It wouldn't be so bad if it was only til the deposit was paid but no, it is for as long as we live here.Problem is we can't afford to move because most all of his paycheck goes to this landlord every week.
We don't have a written lease with him, and that was a big issue when he left us here with no fridge for a week 1/2.
So I am wondering if anyone here sees any way at all out of this situation? Either legally or otherwise?

They should have change machines at bank ATM's instead of only giving you the option of 20's and making you go stand in line for change. I do my laundry at my apts. so I'm always going to the carwash for change.

My parents are in the process of buying a house. Everything was going good untill we got a copy of the home owners assosiation rules and it says there are NO pets of any kind allowed. Well after walking around the condo complex we noticed many of the owners have cats. And we've talked to a few of the other owners, and they said they are ok with cats, but not with dogs.
Well my parents have a dog, and the real estate agents we were going through are well aware of this. The other issue is they received a 30 day notice in May, but because they were in the process of buying the house, and he knows the real estate ppl he is letting them stay through escrow, but has said that if it doestn't work out, or when there out of escrow there out.

so my question is, if escrow falls through over the pet thing, do my parents have any rights to sue? Or if we do buy the house, then the hoa rejects them can they sue?

I have a mortgage and 3 lines of credit with them and have never had worse customer service in my life. The loans were all sold to Citi from other lenders so I am kind of stuck. Has anyone else had similar dealings?

And not to get started on the lieing and back stabbing. Do you people feel me. If we are with these same people 8 hours 5 days a week, can we just get along. What's wrong with world? Why do we have to be mean to each other to get ahead? Help!!!!

I was wondering how many pennies exactly would it take to save $10,000 dollars and altogether how many pennies would I have to put in per day if I wanted to do this within 3months. Also, for the quarters? How much do I need to save per day to save this within 3 months. I've went to the math problems websites and I still can't get an exact answer. Are there any mathematicians out there that would be kind enough to assist me? Thank-you in advance.

Ok, I am in the UK, I win £5million on the lottery, and want to give £1million to my parents, my bro and a friend... will they be taxed on this? I asked this already and people started talking about inheritance tax... don't know why, I have no plans to die in the next 7 years, or even 50 years! If they can be taxed, to what amount, and how do I get round it?
