deliver pizzas at night, you'll make more. Get a job as a bank teller during the day, it pays less, but you can move up from there

I wish I had some, last year I was making over 70K a year, over 22 years at the company, I was downsized or should I say the company I work for downsized, my income was 0 sized. I am now in school, after a year of frustration while job hunting, hoping to get a job that pays 15 an hour.
It sucks, I personally think that these job websites are a way of avoiding really talking to people applying for jobs.

I have also been looking for a job, and I've been out of work for 2 years. Well, I quit last job to stay home with my baby, and just now decided to go back. But, until you get a higher paying job, you might want to consider getting a second job on the weekends or evenings. I know it wears you down, but you do what you gotta do. Look in the local papers in you area in the classifieds. Something is bound to turn up for you.

Try re-doing your resume. You may be applying for jobs that do not reflect any experience within your resume. Try to show in your resume the job(s) you've held where knowledge and experience can prove that you are capible of succeeding in the job for which you've applied. No one will even think about calling you for and interview if you do not reflect knowledge and experience somewhere within resume. Unless you are applying for a job which requires NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.
In additon, your resume should reflect some sort of college education wether you have a degree or not. For example:
University of Maryland - Presently attend
Major - Human Resources
Bachelor of Science (acclerated degree)
this shows that you are prusuing/continuing your education
OR
University of Maryland -
Major - Human Resources
Bachelor of Science - graduated 2006
this just shows you are smart......
It's almost guaranteed that college educated folks make way over $10 an hour. You just have to show some intelligence in your resume.

Getting a job is more and more dependent on being in the right place at the right time. It's a numbers game, and sooner or later it's your number!! Keep your online profiles active and up to date, and let your friends and relatives know that you are on the lookout for a new job. Good luck!!
