The bank told me under $5,000, is this correct, or did I hear him wrong? And if you are buying a home does your spouse have to be on the loan? I know the deed needs both names. Any advise on home loans and debt would be great.

The auto loan is for 60 mo @ 14.9%. The total cost of the current loan is $41,000. I have paid on the loan for 15 months now and have been receiving refinance rates @ 7.9% for 60 months. This would add another year to the life of the loan.
I have no problems paying the current loan amount and plan in Aug to begin paying an additional $250 a month on the principal. There is no penalty on my current loan for paying off early and there is no balloon payment at the end.
I want to do what is best for my credit rating, I am in the process of repairing after a wicked divorce. Currently at a 684, goal is to get it above 750 to help with future goals for business and personal financial decisions.

i just get a credit card for the first time and i went to use the card online but as i was filling out the billing info, there was an error in the computer that declined the transaction, the computer didn't know the differents between a postal code and a zip code so stupid me i redo everything over and there computer declined the transaction again, so i stop and log on the credit card website and it say's the funds have been sent but the web site say's that they declined the transactions, now it almost imposible to get them to work together to get me my money back. Is there some way to make them work together, because i only got 4 days left before the credit card company makes the tranaction final, HELP?

I know someone who needs to sell their home. They have a potential buyer and the home has not gone to settlement. The buyer has been coming by making renovations and the home hasn't been sold yet. I say they aren't allowed to do that until settlement because things can still go wrong or either side could back out. I say until settlement he needs to leave things alone. Am I right?

I have one more year left of graduate school and I teach piano on the side for my income. I really love teaching, and the fact that I get to set my own hours, days, pay, etc. But the fact that I'm not interfacing with others (which I really enjoy), and the ability to travel within an office environment lures me to finish up school and get a job within the government or something. I feel like I should be concentrating my efforts centrally toward a single career path. How do I pick office vs. teaching or both? Any suggestions on what I should do?
